qualified charitable distribution (QCD)

What is a qualified charitable distribution?

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian to an eligible charity such as Diabetes Action.

Benefits of a qualified charitable distribution

While making a meaningful donation to Diabetes Action, a QCD reduces your taxable income and lowers your taxes. Your QCD can also count toward meeting your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year. Visit IRS.gov for more information.
